Released in 2020, The Inspiroy Ink H320M is a popular mid-range drawing tablet by Huion, and its dual-sided feature gives it some interesting versatility.
Here’s a breakdown of it to help you determine if it’s good for you, My general experience so far has been largely positive.
Design
There are two colours you can choose from with Huion Inspiroy Ink H320M – “Quartz Black” or “Coral Red”. Got the red one, but I think black might have looked more professional…
The tablet came in a nicely designed, hard box with a colorful graphic. The box makes it suitable as a gift. Inside is everything you need to use it.
The tablet came with a really swanky looking protective sleeve it’s got a magnetic closure and a really nice texture and it’s padded so it’ll keep your tablet safe.
In spite of being completely made of plastic, The H320M tablet is well made, lightweight but solid. It looks beautiful with its red colors. The pen loop on the right holds the pen well.
Unique Dual-Sided Functionality
The tablet has a drawing surface on both sides, which is unique and can be quite practical for artists who prefer a Multifunctional tablet.
One side is the regular drawing surface, while the other is a LCD writing panel, which can help streamline your workflow.
Regular Drawing Surface Side: Huion Ink H320M comes with a massive active drawing area, measuring 9 x 6 inches. This gives you a lot of flexibility to freely move your hands around.
This large-size graphics tablet is suitable for screens ranging from 15 inches to as far as 27 inches, making it an ideal size for most people.
Drawing on this tablet felt really natural it has a nice texture to it it feels kind of like drawing on paper because it has a little bit of a tooth like a texture.
LCD Writing Side: What makes this tablet stand out from the crowd is the ultra-smooth LCD writing surface on the back side.
The LCD screen works sort of like an electronic sketchpad where you can write or draw and erase your ideas instantly without being connected to a computer, but you can’t save and export them.
The screen and button work flawlessly, wipes totally clean. This screen runs on a coin battery (door has a screw and is accessible from the side), but will need replacement.
I am not much for built-in rechargeable batteries, because once that is dead, practically no one will be able to replace it.
Furthermore, Not happy with the Wipe button though, its just printed on the plastic membrane that surrounds the LCD screen, no bump or anything. It may wear with age. A proper button would have been much long lasting.
Good Stylus Performance
It comes with a responsive PW100 stylus with 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity and ±60° tilt recognition, which allows for fine control and fluid drawing.
The stylus doesn’t need batteries, which is convenient and reduces the need for regular maintenance.
The PW100 pen is lightweight, so doesn’t have a lot of balance on your hand. But the lightweight pen also causes very little strain.
The pen is comfortable to hold. I didn’t experience lag or other issues.
11 HotKeys
The tablet has 11 physical buttons on one side, you’ll be able to program them for anything you want in the tablet driver.
They’re a generous size, light. They’re easy to press, and you can hear the click.
USB-C Port
The USB-C port on the side allows you to connect the Huion Ink H320M directly to PCs (Windows, Mac, and Linux) and Android mobile devices, providing an effortless plug-and-play experience.
The tablet is fine for left- and right-handed people, and lets you map the active area. This can be flipped or rotated in the driver software.
The USB C end can be reversed if you want the tablet left-handed and not have the wire at an awkward angle. It really helps.
Affordable Price
The H320M is relatively affordable for the features it offers. This makes it a great option for beginners or intermediate artists who don’t want to invest in a high-end tablet right away.
Based on my experience with Huion you can get a larger, more accurate tablet for less money than Wacom.
Verdict
The Inspiroy Ink H320M is a solid choice for hobbyists, students, or beginners who want an affordable drawing tablet with dual-sided functionality.
It offers a lot of value for its price but may not be ideal for professional artists who need advanced features like Low initial activation force and wireless connectivity.
The Huion Ink H320M is a bit old with older pen tech 2.0. If you are interested in that size checkout the Huion Inspiroy 2 M H951P with PW110 stylus.
The PW110 stylus adopts Huion PenTech 3.0 technology, which ensures better stability and a smoother writing & drawing experience.
