Why is my xppen tablet roller wheel not working? 6 Fixes
There are many reasons why the XPPen tablet roller/scroll wheel does not work, including incorrect connection, inconsistent shortcut key settings, driver errors, etc.
It can be very frustrating to encounter a xppen tablet roller wheel that doesn’t work, but it can usually be fixed with a few simple fixes.
1. Check the tablet driver setting
You have to find out which keyboard shortcuts the roller wheel on your tablet is assigned to. Just check the xp-pen driver settings.
Afterwards, you should be able to modify the keyboard shortcuts in the art app itself, so that this function makes sense.
The tablet scroll wheel will only work according to your shortcut settings.
Assign a custom keyboard shortcut if you have no current custom settings.
And Are the settings in Preferences > Tools the same for your current app? Always keep the shortcut key settings in the art app and driver consistent.
2. Check the Cable Connections
Maybe unbelievable! If your model is xppen artist pro 16 or Deco Pro, Sometimes this issue only happened when you plugged the usb-c cable the wrong way.

3. Reboot your computer or Unplug the tablet

4. Uninstall the xppen driver and update it
Disconnect the tablet and uninstall the current tablet driver and anything else called XPPen whatever.
Do a full power down restart of your computer, not Sleep or Hibernate, do a full power down restart.
Download and install the drivers from XPPen site, restart your computer (if you use windows, mac doesn’t need) and plug your tablet in again.
Set the shortcut keys in driver and art app, it is best to create a separate custom file. Then the XPPen tablet roller wheel should works.
5. Create an Application-specific settings
In your XP Pen driver software at the top you’ll see a bar where you can set a specific art app for your settings.
There you can create a profile for different art Application and always select that profile when making any changes to the settings in there.
If your roller wheel not working, Adjust the settings to have them as before then close the setup utility and start your art app.
6. Contact the XPPen Tech Support
